What Is a Pint?

Pints are customisable mini-funds that allow you to allocate funds based on an algorithm and ensure diversification in your investment strategy.

As a Pints app user, you may craft your own Pint center around themes. Here are just three types of Pints we have on the app:

  1. An “Industry” Pint: For instance, a Semiconductor Pint could include main players like Qualcomm, Intel Corporation, and more.
  2. An “Investment Idea” Pint: An Emerging Tech Pint may comprise of companies you believe will dominate the technology space in the future.
  3. A “Social” Pint: This includes companies that have a social mission. A Pint consisting of women-owned companies or ones looking to tackle climate change are some examples.

In short, a Pint is a basket of stocks composed of different companies or ETFs put together based on an idea or strategy.

How Do I Purchase a Pint on the App?

Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating and purchasing your own Pint:

  1. Open the Pint’s app, and click on the funds tab to add value into your account
  2. Use the search function to look up stocks, ideas, or themes.

How Can Pint’s Financial Advisors Help You in Your Investment Journey?

Besides providing themed Pint suggestions, you can tap into the knowledge that the advisors on our app have to offer. After all, financial advisors are some of the best people you can turn to for advice on building wealth, managing risk, and other financial decisions. This is why we’ve created a knowledge-sharing feature on Pints, for financial advisors to share valuable insights on anything finance-related with all investors. This could range from investment strategies for beginners, to commentaries on recent stock market events, and much more. It can all be assessed via the app, either by clicking into any advisor’s profile or scrolling through the “Feed” page. Use it as a supplement to your investment research and decisions!

Pints also strives to make personal finance knowledge more accessible to everyone, which is why we aim to conduct interviews with advisors from time to time. Check out what one of our financial advisors on our platform has to say to all beginner investors here.
